Robert Heidasch holds an M.S. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Economics,
Management, and Marketing from the Technica
University of Opole in Poland. After receiving his degrees, he worked as an SAP
R/3 consultant and project manager in
the Financials and Logistics areas. He joined SAP in 1999, where he worked on
SAP Project System and on the integration
of SAP software with Microsoft products using RFC, BAPI, and Web services
technology, and then in the SAP NetWeaver
Foundation group. He currently works in the Enterprise Services Infrastructure

Model-driven software techniques make it easier and faster to develop business process-oriented applications. Business object modeling, business process component modeling, and business process modeling represent real, process-relevant entities in an implementation, make the entities more transparent, and allow you to close the gap between documentation and development. Enterprise service-oriented architecture (enterprise SOA) uses SAP’s modeling approach to process and application design. This article provides an overview of how to
develop process-oriented applications using modeling.
